Testimonials from parents:

Our children's work with Meghan has been the highlight of their summer. Their introduction to creative movement/yoga expanded their minds, centered their moods and allowed them to connect with their bodies in new ways. Our quiet daughter was exuberant after sessions sharing what she learned. The idea that she could be creative through movement was transformative for Sigrid. She was excited for every meeting - whether in person or remote - and left each meeting with a positive spirit that lasted for days! It is rewarding as a parent to find something that brings your children so much joy. This goes for reading and math tutoring as well. Sigrid was excited to participate, loved learning, advanced her skills and was happy each time. Thank you Meghan

Meghan is an amazing teacher and tutor.  She was our daughter’s Kindergarten teacher at The Park School and we (and especially our daughter!) loved Meghan so much that she has continued to work with our daughter weekly for the year since (and will continue to going forward as well!).  Meghan has a remarkable ability to truly get to know a child as a person and as a learner and to help the child become the best possible version of herself.  Our daughter specifically has been working on emotional self-regulation, reading, and writing. While these are VERY different skill sets, Meghan has been amazing in working with her on all 3 of these and even combining them.  For example, they worked on a book our daughter wrote called “I need to calm down!” where our daughter wrote and illustrated strategies to calm down.  She has fully embraced these and now when she gets frustrated will say “I need to calm down.  I am going to do [one of the strategies]” and will go do it.  Meghan is a wonderful person and role model, and has been such a wonderful influence on our daughter’s development in the example she sets.  We can’t recommend Meghan highly enough and would be happy to talk further as a reference!

Meghan McGrath has been an invaluable teacher, tutor, and mentor. She takes a personal interest in every child she works with and actively roots for their success. A looked forward to everyday of kindergarten when she had her as her teacher, as did her younger sister. The shy three-year old would wander into the classroom at drop off, knowing Meghan had fostered an environment where any child is welcome to learn, explore, and truly thrive. Despite the hard work at self-regulation, reading, and writing A has done with Meghan weekly, both in the classroom and through tutoring, she continues to look forward to any time she gets with her. It’s the highlight of her week and when she leaves the room after their virtual tutoring, she feels calm and centered, and we can tell a marked difference between her demeanor before meeting with Meghan and after. Meghan is such a role model in how to maintain inner peace and harmony through difficult things that come up in a child’s learning career. She’s been an incredible source of light for A, and we look forward to having her in A’s life, and ours, for many years to come.
